Hello! My name is Jason Jakubaitis. I have been working in the live event / theatre industry for over eight years. I currently hold six part time positions working for various venues / production companies. I am also a BSA Eagle Scout.
I have worked, designed, or operated shows ranging from sixth grade middle school plays, to designing lighting for corporate events, and high school musicals. Take a look at my Work tab to find out more. For a formal resume, please click HERE. I currently attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, BFA Theatre Design & Technology with an Electrical & Computer Engineering Minor, class of 2024. I graduated from Batavia Sr High School in 2020, adjacent to the Batavia Fine Arts Centre where I am employed as a technician. I have received formal training on ETC's Eos, and Chroma Q's Vista lighting control software. In addition, I am also able to program and operate on Grand MA, Chamsys, Hog, and Obsidian Control (Martin) consoles and software. Along with supplying labor in many shapes and forms, I also offer gear rental from a limited stock including basic event lighting, LED uplighting, general party lighting, wireless PA systems, special FX, and Eos, HOG, Vista, and Obsidian software-based lighting controllers with MIDI control and touchscreens. |
